As with “Cold” and “Drought”, "Threat" is part of the Perception series inspired by positive responses to adverse conditions. Nature’s instincts kick in to return to the source, to consolidate, conserve, pull in, hold out and sustain. In this case in response to an outside threat, the sowbug has rolled into a tight sphere, using its long enduring evolutionary tactic to shield itself from harm. The beauty and simplicity of the form and function are exquisite (no counter attack, no quick get away necessary, just roll up and wait until the threat has passed).
